WITNESS is the only charity in the UK working exclusively on breaches of trust in professional relationships.
Their mission:
"WITNESS is dedicated to helping people who have been abused by health and social care workers and working to prevent abuse. We do this by providing specialist information, advice and support for the victims and survivors of abuse and by campaigning for improvements in policy law and practice, conducting research and providing education and training." Anyone who has concerns about a professional exploiting service users is welcome to ring the helpline.
WITNESS aims to:
- Support survivors to seek justice.
- Assist survivors to overcome their experience of abuse.
- Reduce the incidence of abuse.
- Decrease the isolation of survivors.
- Increase survivors' confidence.
