Treloar's provide education, care, therapy and independence training for over 250 young people, aged 9-25, with complex disabilities and learning difficulties. At both Treloar School and College, physically disabled young people from the UK and overseas are offered the following facilities:

  • Full access to the National Curriculum, with individually tailored learning plans to suit every student's personal needs.
  • A broad range of academic and vocational courses.
  • Life-skills and pre-vocational courses.
  • A rich and varied extended curriculum, utilising excellent sports and social facilities.
  • A health centre with 24 hour nursing care, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and rehabilitation engineers who work with teaching and care staff to develop individual programmes and design assistive technology.
  • Careers advice and work placement opportunities.

Students at Treloar's are normally funded by their Local Education Authority or the Learning and Skills Council, sometimes in partnership with the Health Authority or Social Services. The Trust relies on donations for equipment and refurbishment and is currently undergoing a fundraising drive for the Vision Treloar's project, which will see Treloar's become one nationally recognised centre of expertise.
