The Transverse Myelitits Society (TMS) is a UK registered charity affiliated with the worldwide Transverse Myelitis Association (TMA). The UK TMS provide information and support to over 900 TM sufferers, carers and families in the UK. The TMS also supports people with other rare auto-immune neurological conditions such as neuromyelitis optica (Devic's disease) and acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM). Local TM support groups are active in London, Poole, Berkshire, Telford, Taunton, East Midlands, Kent and Scotland plus informal contacts throughout the UK.

TMS goals:

• To provide information about TM and promote awareness.
• To facilitate support and networking opportunities among members.
• To support improved treatment and research.
