Starlight Children's Foundation is a small children's charity which grants once in a lifetime wishes to seriously and terminally ill children and provides entertainment for children in hospitals and hospices throughout the United Kingdom. Everything the charity does is aimed at distracting children from the pain, fear and isolation they can often feel as a result of their condition.

A Starlight Wish is not just a 'nice treat' - it can help to transform the life of seriously ill children. The wish is chosen exclusively by the child, which in itself can be an empowering experience at a time when so many important decisions are being made by others (doctors, parents, etc). Some 70% of Starlight children go on to get better and often doctors and parents say they believe the excitement and anticipation of the child's wish was the turning point for their recovery.
