The Sick Children's Trust is a national charity. They provide safe and secure accommodation in the form of "homes from home" for the families of seriously ill children, whilst their child is undergoing vital medical treatment many miles from home. They believe that keeping families together throughout the crisis of a child's illness benefits all family members; contributing to the sick child's recovery, allowing the family to spend time together, giving parents the opportunity to support each other, and ensuring that brothers and sisters do not feel excluded.
The Trust currently have "homes from home" in London, Leeds, Newcastle upon Tyne, Cambridge and Sheffield and they are working to provide more houses wherever they are needed.
This organsition has been certified as a producer of reliable health and social care information.
