The Seagull Trust was formed in 1978 and is now registered with Companies House as Seagull Trust Cruises. The Trust's purpose is to offer free cruises on Scotland's canals to the disabled and those with special needs. There are four branches - Falkirk, Highland, Kirkintilloch and Ratho all operating from April to October on a daily basis, including evenings and weekends. Cruises vary in length and time - each branch accepting bookings individually. All skippers and crew members are volunteers and the seven purpose built canal barges have a capacity of twelve passengers. All that is asked of guests is that they organise their own transport to the canal, provide their own carers, medical requirements and any special equipment or food they may require. The Trust supplies, free of charge, tea and coffee.
For further information is shown on the Trust's website.
