Action on Hearing Loss, the new name for RNID - Royal National Institute for Deaf People, is working for a world where hearing loss doesn't limit or label people, where tinnitus is silenced and where people value and look after their hearing.
They offer a range of services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing and provide information and support on all aspects of deafness, hearing loss and tinnitus. As a membership charity, they aim to achieve a radically better quality of life for deaf and hard of hearing people. They work throughout the UK campaigning and lobbying, providing services, training, products and equipment, and undertaking medical and technical research.
They provide a hearing check, lasting less than 5 minutes, which can be done online, over the phone on 0844 800 3838, or with an iPhone app.
