The National Tremor Foundation aims to offer a support and advice service to people of all ages who have been diagnosed with tremor of all types. The most common of these is essential tremor, quite often hereditary, but they also have some members with more complex and unusual tremors such as writing tremor and primary orthostatic tremor.
The Foundation was first brought to England from the USA in 1994 and became a registered charity in its own right. They hold an annual conference which gives all members the opportunity to meet and spend some time together. They also have a panel of experts available to answer questions.
They are currently developing a network of support groups.
This organsition has been certified as a producer of reliable health and social care information.
