National Talking Newspapers and Magazines (NTN&M) is a charity that provides more than 200 national newspapers and magazines in a variety of accessible audio and digital full-text formats for blind and print disabled people.

Audio formats include tape, CD, DAISY CD and MP3 download. Digital full-text publications are delivered via download, email or CD-ROM.

Subscriptions start at £9pa for a monthly magazine on tape and prices vary according to format, frequency and number of tapes/CDs per edition. A free catalogue is available.

Subscription income accounts for about half the charity’s costs. The charity receives no government funding and relies on donations from charitable trusts, companies and individuals to maintain the service.

The charity’s long term objective is to continue to provide those unable to read through visual impairment or physical disability with the same access to newspapers and magazines as sighted people. As well as providing both information and enjoyment, the service alleviates the feelings of isolation felt by the print disabled, helping them keep in touch with their community and the wider world.
