The National Association of Widows is a self-help organisation that offers widow to widow comfort, friendship and a listening ear for as long as it is needed, to both men and women. The following services are offered:
- Local branches provide regular meetings, companionship of other widows, and support to all members especially in times of difficulty or distress.
- National membership plus contact list.
- Widows contact list for national contact with widows.
- Encouragement in developing self-confidence, new skills and friendships as well as helping run local branches and in policy making of the Association.
