The Multiple Sclerosis Society provides practical and emotional support for people with MS, their families and carers. It also promotes research into finding the cause and a cure for MS. Services and activities include the following:
- Promotes public awareness of MS issues.
- Information booklets and magazines.
- Community support visits.
- Day care provision.
- Holidays and respite programmes.
- Practical and emotional support for people with MS, their families and carers through a network of self-help groups.
- Young carers project.
There are 15 branches throughout Northern Ireland providing support and services. Contact the society for further information.
