Mildmay Hospital offers specialist care for HIV/AIDS and other chronic conditions. There are 16 single rooms and they offer a full range of residential and day services for adults. Their main focus is on rehabilitation, although they also provide some long term and terminal care.
The hospital houses the UK's only specialist unit for rehabilitation of people with HIV related brain impairment (HRBI) offering tailored, structured rehabilitation programmes.
HRBI and Generic day care is available to both residential and community attenders.
They provide 24 hour medical and nursing care and a full range of therapies including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, dietetics, counselling, social care, advanced nursing practitioner in rehabilitation and HRBI, liaison psychiatric service, chaplaincy, and speech therapy.
They have the expertise to treat a broad spectrum of patients including those with mental health and drug/alcohol issues, physical/sensory/cognitive disabilities and issues relating to anti-retroviral therapy including adherence.
