The Men's Health Forum was founded in 1994 and is now a charity that works for the development of health services that meet men's needs and enables men to take action to improve their own health. Their vision is a future in which all boys and men in England and Wales have an equal opportunity to attain the highest possible level of health and well-being. In this future:

• Health and other public policy takes fully into account the specific experiences and needs of boys and men.
• Health services are designed to meet the specific needs of boys and men in terms of both health promotion and treatment.
• Boys and men are supported to develop the personal skills necessary to exercise more control over their own health and well-being.
• Community action plays a key role in setting priorities, making decisions and planning strategies for improving the health and well-being of boys and men.
• Supportive domestic, workplace and leisure environments encourage and sustain the health and well-being of boys and men.

The Men's Health Forum runs the annual National Men's Health Week each June and also the consumer health website www.malehealth.co.uk This is an independent health information website for men of all ages.
