Livability offers a wide range of services to around 8,000 disabled people and their families. They run residential care homes and services that support people in their own homes. Their school and two colleges provide education and therapy for young people with special educational needs. They operate a number of wheelchair accessible hotels and holiday homes in some of the UK's most popular tourist destinations. They also have a brain injury rehabilitation centre, supporting people who have acquired brain injuries back into the community.

Livability is the largest Christian based disability charity in the country formed by the merger of John Grooms and the Shaftesbury Society in 2008.
