Kidney Research UK is a UK charity funding research into kidney disease and helping to improve patient care. Their mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals living with kidney disease and it has the following aims.
- The advancement and promotion of research into the kidney and urinary tract and the diseases that affect them, as well as the development and evaluation of treatment in a manner which can best serve those who may benefit.
- The relief of persons suffering from kidney disease.
- The education of the public about kidney disease and the needs of those suffering from it.
Via their 'Kidney Health Information' telephone line they offer the following services.
- Providing a 'listening ear' and offering information and signposting.
- Information on less common kidney conditions.
- Access to a wide range of information resources.
