The Fund's aims are:

• To encourage and sponsor vital epidemiological research into the causes of mesothelioma
• To contribute to clinical trials with novel drug therapies for mesothelioma
• To raise awareness of the disease amongst healthcare professionals and the public at large
• To provide good quality up to date information and advice for mesothelioma sufferers and their carers
• To ensure that the Mesothelioma Charter is delivered

The Fund supports patient and carer information days held throughout the UK. These have provide a unique opportunity for those suffering through mesothelioma to put questions directly to leading professionals. Typical subjects include the latest treatments for mesothelioma, clinical trials and research, obtaining compensation, an overview of benefit entitlements, understanding the symptoms of mesothelioma and the latest campaigning information.
