The Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) Support Group provides support to patients with Guillain-Barré syndrome, CIDP and related illnesses of the peripheral nerves. Where possible, it can arrange personal visits by former patients to those currently in hospital, rehabilitation centres, and to those recovering. The Support Group is a national charity and its services are free. Those who contact the Support Group may subsequently become members - contact the office above for details.

The Support Group publishes a series of booklets on GBS, CIDP and related illnesses that include intensive care and recovery advice.

The Support Group educates the public and medical community about the its activities and maintains their awareness of the illness. It also fosters research into the cause, treatment, and other aspects of the illness.
