Gift - The Children's Transplant Charity - is a registered national charity that offers support to children and families who are affected by transplantation. They aim to provide both emotional and practical support throughout the journey of transplantation. Every year there is an increasing number of children who require major organ transplantation, and through their work they aim to promote transplantation and enhance the lives of children and families touched by it.
Services and activities that Gift provides include:
- A national telephone network providing free and confidential support for parents and children.
- A newsletter.
- Opportunities to meet other families socially.
- Information about transplantation and how it affects family life.
- Activities to support and promote the organ donor register and transplantion.
- A link with current developments and medical professionals in the transplantation community, to provide up-to-date information for families.
