Classes consist of low-impact, rhythmic, continuous movement to music and are available to women of all ages and abilities. Classes are often recommended by GPs, physiotherapists and other health professionals when exercise is needed to improve health. The exercises have been developed to improve the following.
- Posture
- Joint mobilising, muscle strengthening and lengthening
- Co-ordinated movement
- Relaxation
- Breathing
The Fitness League produces a bi-annual magazine with details of special events, health and exercise articles. The website includes full details of the Fitness League and has a facility to search for a class in your area or to email for details.
