Edmesh (Edinburgh M.E. Self Help Group) are based in Edinburgh, but they have members across the Lothians and also throughout Scotland and in England. Although their core activities such as open meetings, informal social get-togethers and social events/outings are based in and around Edinburgh, anyone is welcome to join regardless of where you live.

Although most of their members have M.E., they also welcome carers, family and friends - indeed, anyone with an interest in M.E. or CFS.

They aim to provide support, information and friendship to people affected by this illness by offering the following:

• Quarterly newsletters
• Open meetings with guest speakers
• Informal social get-togethers
• Telephone contact group
• Postal library service
• Members' social events & outings
• Free complementary therapies for members

They have members who attend the Cross-Party Group on M.E. in the Scottish Parliament, helping to inform MSPs and hoping to influence Government policy.
