The purpose of The Communication Trust is to raise awareness of the importance of speech, language and communication across the children's workforce and to enable practitioners to access the best training and expertise to support the communication needs of all children.

The Communication Trust works with over 40 voluntary and community groups who deliver services to help children communicate.

They also have another website: www.sentencetrouble.info

sentencetrouble.info is for people working in the youth justice system. It is intended to help improve understanding and communication with children and young people, particularly those with communication needs.

The website features information about what communication needs are, provides examples of what such needs might look like, expert advice and a selection of resources. The website also features a forum to help the youth justice workforce to network, share ideas and share best practice related to communication needs.
