Broadreach House is a charity based on the outskirts of Plymouth. Clients, from anywhere in the UK, are treated both on a private and state-funded basis (Health and Local Authorities). The charity operates the following five facilities.

• Broadreach, first stage treatment of alcohol and drug dependency for men and women.
• Closereach, second stage treatment for men.
• Longreach, first and second stage treatment for women.
• Broadreach Day Service, including resettlement and aftercare.
• Training, including one year diploma course in addiction counselling.

The programme employs research-supported interventions for alcohol and drug misusers. Length of treatment varies between two weeks and six months, depending on individual needs. They receive a mixture of group and family therapy, workshops, lectures, one-to-one counselling and activity-based work. A life and social skills programme is also followed including workshops, relaxation training and other activities.
