RP Fighting Blindness
- Is a membership organisation run by volunteers with branches throughout the UK.
- Aims to raise funds for scientific research to provide treatments leading to a cure for retinitis pigmentosa.
- Provides a welfare support and guidance service to its members and their families.

- Annual Membership subscription: £20 (correct October 2009)
- Quarterly Newsletter available in large print, on CD, by email, computer diskette or Braille.
- Total membership - approx 3,000 members.
- Monthly e-bulletin.
- Publications list available.
