The Association of Radical Midwives is primarily a support group for people having difficulty in getting or giving good, sympathetic, personalised midwifery care. Members are midwives, student midwives and others in the UK committed to improving the maternity care provided by the NHS. Some members work independently outside the NHS. The Association provides information and services to support midwives and is pro-active on many issues affecting midwifery and good maternity care.
The Association has available leaflets designed for non-professionals, including: Choices in Childbirth, What is a Midwife? as well as reading lists and publications for professionals.
