The Addison’s Disease Self-Help Group (ADSHG) is the UK support group for men, women and children with adrenal insufficiency.

The ADSHG is a registered UK charity and has around 850 members, of whom nearly 640 are women. They range in age from roughly 8 to 91 years old. Most members live within the United Kingdom, although a few are resident abroad, including Spain, Cyprus, Germany and Australia.

The group offers support and information to its members in the following ways:

• A newsletter, produced by the editorial team, which is issued 4 times a year in September, December, March and June each year.
• A copy of publications by the group and by the Addison's disease clinical advisory panel (ACAP):
  • Credit card sized fold-out laminated Emergency Card [ACAP]
  • Surgical Guidelines [ACAP]
  • Living with Addison’s disease: an owner’s manual [ADSHG]
• An e-mail group, through which members can share their experiences in managing day-to-day aspects of medication and lifestyle.
• This website, which is funded by group subscriptions and maintained by group members.
• Regional meetings in various parts of the UK, an annual open day in Guildford and an annual medical lecture held in London.

Membership of the ADSHG is open to anyone with Addison's Disease, family and friends, medical personnel or anyone with an interest in Addison's Disease. A small annual fee is charged to cover administration.
