The Pain Association Scotland offers support for people with chronic pain in the community. Their mission is to help all chronic pain sufferers, enabling them to achieve improvement in their quality of life. This is done through the development of local support groups offering pain management training and exercise. The Association offers the following services.
- Experience and expertise in the delivery of a bio-psycho-social self management approach to chronic pain.
- Community training and self-management groups.
- Community based 'Living with Pain' programmes.
- Training days and workshops.
- Collaborative working with health and social welfare professionals and academic training.
- Input in to health and social welfare professional and academic training.
- Input for national and international conferences.
- Participation in the Scottish parliamentary cross-party group on chronic pain.
- Participation in the European Pain Patients' Group.
They also provide a monthly service in other areas. Please contact the above for further details.
