The National Centre for Eating Disorders is an independent training and treatment facility for eating disorders and obesity. The head office is in Esher, Surrey and there is a referral network of 150 qualified eating disorder practitioners throughout the UK who are appropriately qualified to work with patients suffering from anorexia, bulimia nervosa and overeating disorders. Some of the practitioners are also qualified to work with children.
The NCFED offers the following services for eating disorders.
- Full assessment with feedback to GPs if required.
- Person, telephone and email counselling.
- Online Self-Help programmes for bulimia, binge eating and stress management.
