Life is the national pro-life charity in the UK that offers loving care and practical support during and after pregnancy, birth and for as long after as needed to help anyone with problems to avoid abortion. Life offers the following.
- Free, confidential pregnancy testing with immediate results;
- Pregnancy counselling in a relaxed atmosphere with trained approachable skilled listeners - the individual's decisions and feelings are always respected.
- Practical help and follow-up care: help with DSS grants, baby clothing and equipment, friendly support.
- Guidance on DSS grants, maternity payments, employment protection, social services, statutory health and education services, adoption services.
- Accommodation: either comfortable shared accommodation liaison with local Housing Associations.
- Post abortion counselling.
As well as the helpline service above which offers immediate help and support on the areas above, Life has Local Pregnancy Care Services throughout the UK.
