Lauren's Link aims to:

  • Support families and carers affected by someone else's substance misuse. This will be done by either a one to one meeting or at the weekly self help group, which is held every Tuesday evening 6pm - 8.30pm.
  • Raise awareness of the difficulties of living with drug addiction to statutory, voluntary organisations and the general public by presentations and talks.
  • Liaise and advocate on behalf of families and carers with relevant agencies.
  • Support families and carers experiencing the criminal justice system from point of arrest, custody, court, prison or young offenders. To build or maintain family relationships whether the drug user is living at home or elsewhere.
  • Support families bereaved by drug related death, again either on a one to one meeting or at the monthly self help group which is held on a Monday 10.30am - 2.30pm.
