The Lane-Fox Respiratory Unit provides highly specialised care for patients from throughout the United Kingdom, who are dependent on ventilators to breathe, due to an accident; illness or neuro-muscular disease such as polio, scoliosis, muscular dystrophy, motor neurone, and Guillain-Barré syndrome. The Lane-Fox Patients' Association has been working in partnership with the Unit since 1974 and is committed to improving the quality of life for patients and their families.
