The aim of Calibre is to bring the pleasure of reading to people who have sight problems or physical disabilities through a free nationwide postal service of recorded books.

There are over 7000 titles to choose from (all unabridged) recorded on standard cassette and MP3 disk which can be played on commercially available playback equipment. The full catalogue can be viewed on the website and there is a small charge for printed catalogues.

There are also 1200 titles in the Young Calibre Library for under 16 year olds.
