Best time to telephone: 8.30am - 8.00pm, Monday - Friday; 10.00am - 4.00pm, Saturday & Sunday.

The Accident Line scheme was launched in 1994. It helps those who have been involved in an accident, where someone or something else is to blame, claim compensation for their injuries. The accident must have occurred within the last three years although there are exceptions in the case of children and work injuries.

All participating solicitors (approximately 3000 throughout England and Wales) offer a free initial consultation. During this time clients will be told if there is a claim and, if so, how it can be financed - that is by conditional fees, legal aid, or pay as you go. The client is under no obligation to take the matter further if they decide not to.

To ensure a top quality service, only firms with specialist expertise are allowed to offer the free Accident Line consultations.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
