- Azelastine nasal spray should only be used by one person. This spray is for you, do not give it to others even if their condition appears the same as yours.

Can azelastine nasal spray cause problems?
Along with their useful effects, all medicines can cause unwanted side-effects although not everyone experiences them. These usually improve as your body adjusts, but speak with your doctor or pharmacist if any of the following side-effects continue or become troublesome.
| Possible side-effects | What can I do if I experience this |
| Irritation, itching, sneezing, nose bleeds | These side-effects are rare and usually mild. They should soon pass |
| Bitter taste in your mouth | Make sure you do not tilt your head backwards as you use the spray as this may allow azelastine to trickle into the back of your mouth causing the bitter taste |
