There is also a facility to hold medical information to be accessed by professionals if necessary. A range of services are available for children, those living alone, those with medical conditions and others.
National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy
An organisation dedicated to helping children and young people with epilepsy and other needs.
St. Elizabeth's Centre
The St. Elizabeth's Centre at Much Hadham, near to Bishop's Stortford in East Hertfordshire is one of only two national epilepsy centres offering services to all age groups. For 100 years the Centre has been providing education, care and medical support to people with epilepsy and associated disabilities.
DIPEx
DIPEx (Database of Individual Patient Experiences) is an Oxford based registered charity. It is a database of audio, video and transcript of interviews with patients experiencing a particular illness or health problem. Includes a module on epilepsy.
Epilepsy and Pregnancy Register
For pregnant women with epilepsy a major concern may be whether their anti-epileptic drug treatment will cause any harm to their unborn child. A major study has been established in conjunction with the British Neurological Surveillance Unit to collect information about the safety of anti-epileptic drugs in pregnancy.
