Bertram Gloop had a bad case of Croup
He barked like a seal and he spilled his soup.
Next door his friend Lindsay was ill with a Quinsy
She dribbled a lot when her mouth was closed
And her face and her neck blew up as she dosed.
Ophelia his sister had odynophagia
Her swallowing pain was bordering on major
Across the road poor Gwendolyn Carr
Had the worst ever case of Epstein Barr
Her glands were swollen and frankly intense
her temperature rose to a level immense.
Her best friend Carla could not believe her
Then she also fell ill with Scarlet fever
Before too long she'd a strawberry tongue
Her cheeks were flushed and her face was long
So I stayed home and hung up my coat
Because I started to feel a frog in my throat.
And suddenly then an Asthma attack
Started me wheezing and took me aback
Calmly I searched for my blue inhaler
But then I tripped over Zachary Tailer
Zachary Tailer our fat ginger cat
Was flat on the floor like a furry mat
But I picked myself up and then in a huff
I found my inhaler, took a breath and a puff
I soon felt better I'm glad to say
So I hope those other bugs go away.
