How their bottoms itched and squirmed
Deep in the night while they lay asleep
The tiny worms crawled out to peep
Most children some time catch these creatures
They're one of the childhood infectious diseases
Wash hands well, keep them nice and clean
It protects you from germs that cannot be seen
All the household must be treated
To get rid of these tiny creatures
They won't make you ill they just make you itch
Syrup from the chemist gets rid of them quick
Hooray! The threadworms have been defeated
