Popping a Poo
by Roz Mckenzie
Popping a poo
the size of a pip
Jack looked in despair
at the tiny squit
Bobbing around
it refused to flush
- and all that effort
had made Jack blush
His tummy still hurt
so he tried again
but now there was nothing
except for MORE pain
Jack felt silly
when he went to the loo
and could not manage
a decent sized poo
But he finally decided
to tell his mum
about his lack of poo
and painful bum
"You need fruit and nuts
and water too",
said Jack's caring mum
"That's what elephants do!"
Jack recalled elephants
from the TV
who produced hills of poo
and fountains of wee
So Jack wolfed down his
banana, water and nuts
watched a nature programme
- then a rumble in his guts!
He got to the loo
and sat down and waited
and sure enough
the pain was abated
No more straining or squeezing
or painful frustration
the poo plopped right out
no more constipation!
