The Telephones for the Blind Fund is a registered charity which can provide financial assistance towards the cost of a BT telephone line installation and/or line rental for registered blind (not partially sighted) people of limited financial means. They should be living alone or with a disabled partner. Those living in sheltered accommodation or in their own room in a care home can be considered. Some single parent families may also be supported if the parent is registered blind. Applications should be made through Social Services.
