Cleanair is an independent, voluntary and non-profit-making organisation which has been engaged in drawing public attention to smoking and its' effects on health and the environment since 1972. Its main aim is to help create a smoke-free society for all to share and enjoy.

Cleanair has produced a series of WHO (World Health Organisation) posters to promote its philosophy. The posters are suitable for homes, workplaces, shops, restaurants, hotels, offices, educational establishments, doctor's surgeries, places of entertainments and their public places. According to WHO the posters politely, strongly and humorously deliver the message that 'Non-Smoking is the Norm'.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
