Car Accident Victims Organisation (CAVO) is a national charity providing support services to anyone affected by car accidents.

People affected asking for support have been:

  • A person involved in a car accident
  • Their family
  • Carers
  • Friends
  • Witnesses to a car accident

Support activities offered have been:

  • Basic counselling
  • Bereavement counselling
  • Information regarding benefits
  • Writing letters to companies on behalf of a person severely injured
  • Providing a support diary to assist the recording of vital information for compensation claims
  • Email, telephone and one-to-one support
  • Setting up of local self-help support groups for mutual support, as well as outings and meals for those needing to meet new people
