Car Accident Victims Organisation (CAVO) is a national charity providing support services to anyone affected by car accidents.
People affected asking for support have been:
- A person involved in a car accident
- Their family
- Carers
- Friends
- Witnesses to a car accident
Support activities offered have been:
- Basic counselling
- Bereavement counselling
- Information regarding benefits
- Writing letters to companies on behalf of a person severely injured
- Providing a support diary to assist the recording of vital information for compensation claims
- Email, telephone and one-to-one support
- Setting up of local self-help support groups for mutual support, as well as outings and meals for those needing to meet new people
