Softwalker manufacture and sell comfort shoes. They are based in Cumbria. A section of their business is called 'Customfit' which is for ladies who have minor foot problems, but who cannot wear off-the-shelf comfort footwear. For example, for ladies with corns, bunions, hammertoes, or swollen feet.

'Customfit' solves problems of pain and friction caused by localised pressure. They do this by adding extra volume to the shoe, only in those areas that are needed. These additions can mostly be disguised so that the shoe preserves an attractive look.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
