Face2Face is an expanding network of local schemes, providing emotional support to parents whose children have been recognised as having a special need or disability.
Local schemes recruit and train volunteer parents who themselves have disabled children, to act as befrienders. Befrienders are able to share and empathise with new parents because of their own experiences, and support them to make positive adjustments to their child's disability.
If there is no scheme in their area parents can access the network's online and telephone befriending service.
Face2Face is a free and confidential service available to all parents of disabled children.
