Tiny Tickers
Echo UK Charity Office (South Parade)

Tiny Tickers (formerly known as echo UK - effective cardiac health in obstetrics) is an independent, international charity, based in the UK. They are concerned with the detection, care and treatment of heart problems in babies before birth.
Trustees of the charity are concerned parents who are supported by medical experts in the UK and Europe.
Their focus is on heart disease that develops before birth (ie fetal heart disease). Once a child is born with heart disease, this is known as congenital heart disease (congenital means "born with") and occurs in 1 in 145 births.
The charity is based in the UK and (resources permitting) provides on-site training to UK maternity hospitals in fetal heart scanning. They provide educational material, such as CDs, posters and leaflets that compliments their training. They also provide information through their website to anyone interested in fetal heart disease, anywhere in the world.
The authors and editors of this article are employed to create accurate and up to date content reflecting reliable research evidence, guidance and best clinical practice. They are free from any commercial conflicts of interest. Find out more about updating.
