Autism Network is a non-profit making organisation, coordinated by a committee and unpaid volunteers working for the benefit of their membership.
It is their intention that activities should promote physical and social development, communication and self-motivation in an encouraging, friendly, supportive and fun environment. There are no restrictions as to age, sex, race, or religious beliefs.
Their philosophy is that all disabled people particularly those with Autism should have every opportunity to enjoy the best possible quality of life.
They aim to:
- Provide practical support to parents, carers & individuals affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorders (including Asperger's Syndrome).
- Support parents, carers and individuals in matters relating to service provision.
- Raise awareness of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within the public and professional arena.
- Arrange and or provide activities for people affected by ASD (including families and siblings).
- Work with organisations statutory and non-statutory to improve services provided.
