OCD-UK is a national charity for sufferers of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) which aims to bring the facts about OCD to the UK public, and to support those who suffer in silence from this often debilitating anxiety disorder, particularly young adults.
Their mission statement is:
To advance awareness of obsessive-compulsive disorders.
OCD-UK will work alone and in partnership with other charities and organisations to achieve the following aims:
- Raising awareness of obsessive-compulsive disorders.
- Providing authoritative information on OCD.
- Helping to improve the quality of life for those suffering.
- Providing a 24/7 telephone helpline.
- Campaigning for more adequate OCD treatment.
- Assisting organisations or individuals running regional support groups.
