Rape Crisis Scotland is the national office for rape crisis centres in Scotland. Rape Crisis Scotland offers a signposting service, and gives information about local services which offer support to people experiencing sexual violence.

Rape Crisis Centres offer free confidential support and information to women and girls who have been raped or sexually abused at any time in their lives. They can be contacted by telephone (most centres also have a textphone service) or letter and some centres can be contacted by email.

Contact details for your nearest centre are on the ‘local rape crisis and sexual abuse centres’ page of their website.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
