Aquila Care is a not for profit network of voluntary groups, founded in 1991, for the purpose of supporting men and women experiencing a broken relationship or divorce. The co-ordinators who run local groups have all experienced, and recovered from, divorce themselves. Having suffered feelings of rejection, fear, hopelessness and anger, they realized that the support and understanding received from fellow strugglers had played a vital role in their own recoveries and wanted to make this care available to others.

Aquila is open to men and women from all walks of life and beliefs who are struggling to put their lives back together after broken relationships or divorce. Aquila offers support, care, guidance, companionship and hope to anyone who is distressed and unsettled by the experience.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
