The Food Additives and Ingredients Association represents companies whose principal business is the manufacture and marketing of food additives and ingredients.

The organisation promotes better awareness of the role additives play in modern food. Key initiatives have included the booklet 'In the Mix' and the educational project Understanding Food Additives, produced in collaboration with the University of York's Chemical Industry Education Centre.

FAIA can offer an illustrated food additives talk to voluntary groups such as Women's Institutes and Rotary Clubs. This can be arranged by contacting the executive director via the website.
