GEEPS

Web: www.geeps.co.uk

GEEPS is run by the families and friends of children affected with gastroschisis or exomphalos. The aim of GEEPS is to support families through the shock of diagnosis and beyond in the hope that some of the stress can be relieved by sharing thoughts and fears with other parents - parents who have been in the same or similar situation.

GEEPS is a non profit making network. Money raised through various charity events has been used to produce an information booklet, occasional newsletters, and a poster campaign in maternity hospitals to promote the existence of GEEPS.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
