Rainbo is an organisation of African women in the diaspora. They envision a future for the African continent where women and girls enjoy full rights of citizenship and play an important role in its future and where a strong civil society works with governments to achieve stability, democracy and prosperity allowing Africa to take its rightful place in the global community.

Their mission is to improve the lives of African women & girls through empowering them to become equal partners in the social and economic development of their communities.

Their aims and activities include:

  • Empowering women to end female genital mutilation (FGM) & violence against women (VAW).
  • Improving reproductive health & rights.
  • Advocacy.

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.
